Crock Pot Chicken and Rice

I've never made chicken and rice in the crock pot before, so I decided to try it. I couldn't find a recipe that I liked, so I made one up. I guess we'll see how it turns out.

Here's what I did.

Mixed together in crock pot:
1 1/2 cups uncooked rice
3 cups water
1 can cream of chicken soup
handful chopped onion
small green bell pepper, chopped
sprinkled garlic salt and black pepper

Then I put in 3 frozen chicken tenderloins, put the lid on, and turned it on low.

I guess in 5-7 hours or so, we'll find out how it worked.

Note: This ended up being okay. Not enough flavor or chicken. It was mostly just rice with a few green peppers in it. Next time I'd add another can of cream of chicken soup, and more seasoning...like onion soup mix or something.

  1. Try mine:

    1 can chicken soup
    1 cup salsa
    1 can beans (optional)
    4 chicken breasts

    1 hour before serving add 1/2 - 1 c. uncooked rice (15 minutes if it's minute rice)

eat on tortillas with sour cream, more salsa, and any other garnish...
